Rutusha Nagaraj is a Landscape Designer working at Cotleur & Hearing in Jupiter, Florida. She graduated with a Masters in Landscape Architecture in 2020 from Florida International University gaining academic recognition by the USA's Environment Protection Agency (EPA) and American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA). During her Masters, she also worked as a Graduate Assistant at the office of Academic Space Management at FIU.
Before MLA she graduated with a bachelor's degree in architecture in 2017 earning the state's highest academic merit - University Gold Medal throughout Karnataka, India. She also gained professional experience working as a junior Architect at VERVE GROUP Bangalore, an award-winning practice led by her parents Ar. Nagaraj & Ar. Pranoti, Architects & Planners from School of Planning and Architecture - Delhi, India.
Before graduating she also Interned at CCBA Designs Pvt Ltd Pune, India in 2016 under renowned & eminent American architect Professor Christopher Charles Benninger. She also interned with reputed Singapore-based architectural practice DP Architects - Bangalore in 2017. Through this journey, she learned how architecture participates in and engages with culture, and also gained new perspectives on practical aspects of this profession.
Rutusha was inclined toward art and architecture quite early in her life, as a daughter of Architects/Planners. At the age of 10, she and her sister Udiksha Nagaraj had their own exclusive Art Exhibition "Expressions" in Bangalore with proceedings towards charity. Inaugurated by famed film and theater personality Smt Arundhati Nag, a Padma Shri awardee. Rutusha's artworks are inspired by nature and culture.
She has received several International, National Art and Architecture Awards.
