Rutusha is a licensed landscape architect currently working with Evergreen Design Group in Southern California. She has professional experience on projects across multiple states in the US and holds landscape architect licenses in Florida, California, and Arizona.

Originally from Bangalore, India, Rutusha earned a Bachelor of Architecture degree, graduating with the VTU Gold Medal, Karnataka state's highest academic honor. Before pursuing her master’s degree, she worked as an architect with well-renowned architectural practices in Bangalore and Pune, where she developed a strong foundation in design, planning, and the relationship between architecture, culture, and the built environment.

She went on to earn her Master of Landscape Architecture degree from Florida International University in 2020, graduating with a Merit Award. During her graduate studies, she worked as a Graduate Assistant at FIU while further developing her interests in ecological design and resilient landscapes. Several of her academic design projects also received recognition from the Florida Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects.

Following graduation, she began her professional journey as a landscape designer in South Florida, working on a diverse range of commercial, parks and recreation, public realm, and mixed-use projects before expanding her experience to projects across multiple states. Her work explores the intersection of art, architecture, and landscape architecture, with a focus on fragile ecosystems and ecologically resilient design. Her work and involvement has received recognition from organizations including the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA), UNESCO, and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP).

Growing up in a family of architects and planners, Rutusha developed an early appreciation for the relationship between culture, the built environment, and nature. Today, she draws from her interdisciplinary background and cultural heritage to create thoughtful landscapes that strengthen ecological systems.
